Nitanshi Goel gained prominence through her role in Laapataa Ladies and has become a social media sensation. In today’s context, where social media defines success, memes featuring her reels like Phool Kumari and Sajni Re reflect her immense popularity.
Speaking exclusively, Nitanshi expresses her joy: “My smile grows wider every day. It feels like my life has completely changed.”
Regarding the viral success of Sajni Re on social media, she remarks: “Every time I check my social media, I see Sajni Re playing in countless reels. Hearing the song, I feel incredibly fortunate to be the original ‘Sajni’. It’s surreal! People even recreate the Kalakand recipe hoping that Phool likes it, with Sajni Re in the background!”
One of her biggest social media moments was when Aamir Khan Productions shared a photoshopped image of her dressed as Phool at the MET Gala. Reflecting on this surprise, she recalls, “I woke up to that and thought, ‘How did I end up there?’ I had no idea they planned to post that picture. It became a huge sensation. I joked it might be the next meme of the year!”
Nitanshi reveals the amusing reactions: “Many people messaged me asking if I really attended the MET Gala dressed as Phool. Just the day before, I saw Alia Bhatt slaying on the red carpet and wished I could be there someday. The next day, this picture came out. I thought, my manifestation is working half-and-half (laughs).”
Despite enjoying social media, Nitanshi prioritizes safety, recently joining Snapchat’s panel on online safety for teens. She advises, “It’s important to be cautious. Snapchat has advanced safety features; if someone bothers you, blocking them ensures they can’t create new accounts to contact you.”
Asked about her social media approach, Nitanshi emphasizes, “I’m not calculative. I’m not always on my phone; my screen time is minimal, and I’m proud of that decision. I want to engage with my audience, who feels like family, but I also have other responsibilities. Social media shouldn’t dominate my time.”
