Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani announced Don 3 in August 2023, with Ranveer Singh as the lead. Kiara Advani was later confirmed as the female lead in February 2024.
The filming for Don 3 is planned to commence in February 2025.

Before diving into Don 3, Farhan Akhtar aims to finish his acting commitments. Currently, he’s in the UK for a recce on the film starring Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani.
Farhan will first act in the movie before taking on the directorial role for Don 3 upon his return.
Don 3, a highly anticipated addition to the franchise, stars Ranveer Singh as the lead character, with Kiara Advani playing the female lead role previously held by Priyanka Chopra.
Notably, Don (2006) was a modern adaptation of Amitabh Bachchan‘s 1978 classic, co-written by Farhan Akhtar’s father, Javed Akhtar, and Salim Khan.
Pre-production for Don 3 began earlier in 2024, as evident from pictures shared by the film’s production designer on Instagram.
Following Singham Again, Ranveer Singh will appear in Don 3. He also has other projects lined up, including HanuMan with filmmaker Prasanth Varma and Rakshas, currently in pre-production with director Aditya Dhar.
Kiara Advani is set to make her debut in Telugu cinema with Game Changer alongside Ram Charan, and she will also appear in War 2, a part of the YRF spy universe, alongside Junior NTR and Hrithik Roshan.
