The adorable couple Meghan Markle and Prince Harry became parent one more time. This time they are blessed with a baby Girl. They named her, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. She was born on Friday morning in a hospital in Santa Barbara, California.
Buckingham Palace said: “The Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
The couple’s Archewell website says Lili was born Lili on Friday, June 4th at 11:40am “in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara”.
A spokesperson for the family said: “Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.”
“Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”
The Prince of Wales, Prince Harry’s father, and the Duchess of Cornwall wrote on a Twitter handle, ” Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie on the arrival of baby Lilibet Diana. Wishing them all well at this special time.”
And the Duke of Duchess and Cambridge said: “We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili.”
Prime Minister Boris Johnson sent his “many congratulations” to the couple and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer welcomed the “wonderful news”.
