It’s been more than thirty-six years since the beloved Malayalam star Mohanlal and his wife Suchitra exchanged vows. Recently, Mohanlal marked their anniversary by surprising Suchitra with a bouquet of beautiful flowers, sharing heartwarming pictures of the couple on Instagram. The photos captured their love and joy, with one showing them in a tender moment, while another depicted them engaged in a conversation, with Suchitra whispering in her husband’s ear.
Accompanying the pictures was a sweet anniversary message from Mohanlal to his wife, expressing his love and wishing for many more years of happiness together.
Mohanlal and Suchitra got married in 1988 after dating for some time. Their grand wedding was attended by numerous celebrities from the Indian film industry, who showered them with blessings. The couple is blessed with two children – Pranav Mohanlal and Vismaya Mohanlal. While Pranav has ventured into acting, Vismaya currently works as an assistant film director and writer.
During the launch of Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz, Suchitra shared insights into their early days together. Recalling her initial impressions of Mohanlal, she revealed how she initially disliked him due to his convincing portrayal of villains on screen but gradually fell in love with him, making him her favorite actor today.
Mohanlal’s upcoming project is Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial venture L2E: Empuraan, a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster ‘Lucifer’. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film will be released in multiple languages including Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, although the release date is yet to be confirmed.
