Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s highly anticipated project, “Heeramandi,” has received praise from both critics and fans for its portrayal of the brothel culture and the lives of courtesans during the Nawab era. Set against the backdrop of the Indian Independence movement, the series vividly captures the essence of Lahore’s red-light district, Heera Mandi.
Featuring a star-studded cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Sehgal, Shekhar Suman, Fardeen Khan, and others, each character plays a significant role in bringing the story to life. Among them, Taha Shah Badussha’s portrayal of ‘Nawab Tajdar Baloch,’ an advocate and Alamzeb’s lover, has captivated audiences with his charm and acting prowess, earning him the title of the internet’s latest crush.
Taha Shah’s journey to Bollywood started in Abu Dhabi, where he received his early education before moving to a boarding school in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. Despite feeling homesick, he pursued his studies in Sharjah before exploring various business ventures, including human resource management and real estate. However, it was his passion for acting that led him to Mumbai, where he honed his skills at an acting school and later enrolled in the New York Film Academy.
His acting career kicked off with roles in films like “Luv Ka The End” and “Gippi,” where his versatility and willingness to take on diverse characters earned him recognition. Taha also ventured into Hollywood with “Draupadi Unleashed” in 2020 and showcased his talent in web series like “Bullets” and “Bekaboo 2.” Additionally, he revealed his hidden talent for singing with the release of his debut single, “Vande Mataram,” in 2022.
