The 25th anniversary screening of Sarfarosh (1999) was celebrated by Radio Nasha in Mumbai, attended by the film’s team.

Before the screening, Aamir Khan, Sonali Bendre, Naseeruddin Shah, Mukesh Rishi, and director John Matthew Matthan shared interesting anecdotes about the film with RJ Divya Solgama.

Aamir Khan was asked why he chose a film like Sarfarosh, different from his usual 90s roles. He explained being moved by the story’s sensitivity and unique plot, initially doubting the director’s ability but being won over by the narration.

Regarding the risk of doing Sarfarosh, Aamir Khan mentioned that all his films have been challenging, citing examples like Dangal and Taare Zameen Par.

Naseeruddin Shah, who played the villain, joked about still receiving messages identifying him with his character. He also shared the surprise of the film’s popularity in Pakistan.

Naseeruddin Shah explained his decision to join Sarfarosh, impressed by the gripping story and character development, and looking forward to singing in Jagjit Singh’s voice.
