Following the accolade, Shilpa captivated the audience by singing a few lines from the winning song alongside Caralisa Monteiro and Vishal-Shekhar. The vibrant song, shot in Spain, featured Deepika Padukone, who reminisced about the challenging five-day shoot with difficult weather conditions. Despite the challenges, the song became a cross-border celebration, connecting with Spanish dancers and crew, showcasing the universal appeal of movies, cinema, and music.
While the song gained popularity, it also faced criticism, particularly for Deepika’s attire, with objections raised against her wearing an orange swimsuit. This led to protests in various parts of the country, where activists expressed their dissent by staging demonstrations and burning effigies of Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan.
