Parineeti Chopra‘s spouse, Raghav Chadha, an AAP MP, recently underwent a significant eye surgery in the UK due to a severe eye condition that posed a risk of blindness.
Raghav has successfully undergone the surgery and is presently recuperating. Parineeti, who has been occupied with her film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila,’ is expected to visit him in London soon.
According to a family source, Raghav, presently in London, was advised bed rest after the surgery. The procedure was crucial as it addressed a retinal issue that could have resulted in vision loss. Despite the surgery’s risks, Raghav’s condition is improving.
Although Raghav’s vision is intact, he has been advised to avoid sunlight during his ongoing treatment. His return to India is contingent upon medical clearance, especially amidst the current Lok Sabha Elections.
Parineeti has been actively involved in Raghav’s medical journey, attending appointments alongside her film commitments. She continues to monitor his health remotely and plans to visit him soon.
Parineeti and Raghav exchanged vows on September 24 at the Leela Palace Hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The wedding ceremony was attended by prominent figures from the entertainment and political spheres.
In her recent project, ‘Amar Singh Chamkila,’ Parineeti portrayed the character of Amarjot, the wife of Amar Singh Chamkila, played by Diljit Dosanjh. The film, directed by Imtiaz Ali, was released on Netflix.
‘Chamkila’ narrates the untold story of Punjab’s original rockstar, who rose from poverty to fame in the 1980s through his music. However, his controversial music angered many, ultimately leading to his assassination at the age of 27.
