Shannon K is making a splash after attending the premiere of Indiana Jones & The Dial of Destiny at The Cannes Film Festival 2023. She made her singing debut in 2018 with Poo Bear’s pop single, A Long Time. Later, she joined hands with producer Kyle Townsend for the song Give Me Your Hand. With millions of views on YouTube, Shannon cemented her place in music.
While she was busy in her singing career, acting was the furthest thing from her mind. It was actor Irfan Khan who appreciated her singing and suggested she should pursue in acting too. After that, there was no looking back for her. Shannon K took the plunge into acting with the Hollywood production The Big Feed (2020). Then she was offered the female lead in Chal Zindagi, a road trip film featuring Sanjay Mishra , Vivek Dahiya. The film was released on May 26th and Shannon did a fantastic job with her natural acting skills which appear to be so effortless on screen.
Talking about her character and learning Hindi, “My role in the movie is an american music student who comes down to india in search for authentic folk music. I had a wonderful time filming the movie. It’s full of adventure and journey to Ladakh. Learnt a lot from Sanjay sir. My hindi was little weak but I learnt and recorded all the songs. I worked really hard and put my best efforts into the movie!”
The movie is now released in theatres all over India.
