Looking back on her early days in the industry, Priyamani reflected on the challenges of navigating fame without a guiding hand, she shared, “I had no mentor to guide me and often trusted people without knowing their true intentions. At the start of my career, I believed everyone—whether good or bad. But now, I can sense what’s genuine and confidently voice my opinions.”

Kunchacko, got candid about his journey, and admitted that acting wasn’t always his calling. “I wasn’t aware of my grandfather’s legacy, and I never wanted to be named after him. I had to carve my own path, starting from multi-hero films to single-hero roles. I’ve been fortunate to be part of landmark films in Malayalam cinema,” he shared.

Talking about handling criticism, Priyamani credited her family for keeping her grounded. “I don’t entertain unnecessary negativity around me. I have my close circle, and their opinions and motivation matter the most. If I ever get carried away, they remind me to stay humble,” she said. Recalling a past experience, she added, “When I announced my engagement, I was shocked by the backlash and unnecessary comments. But now, I don’t give importance to random hate online.”

Kunchacko acknowledged and further added, “Social media has the power to make or break you. Criticism will always be there, but it’s up to us whether we let it affect us or just move on and enjoy life.”

Speaking about their latest release Officer On Duty, Priyamani shared her enthusiasm for the project, saying, “I loved the story and the entire team, which made it an easy decision to say yes. From day one, Kunchacko made me feel comfortable.” Praising her co-star’s craft, she added, “He is fantastic in his films. I recently watched his last film, and he carried the entire film on his shoulders. He is always so full of energy.”

On working with Priyamani, Kunchacko said, “She is a National Award winner, and even my wife has praised her work. I strongly believe that if my co-star is fully engaged, it pushes me to perform better. It’s a give-and-take process that enhances the overall film.”

Kunchacko described Officer On Duty as a film that goes beyond the typical cop drama, “It has multiple layers—it’s not just about the police force but also about them as individuals, as family men, and their personal lives.”
