Munawar Faruqui has directed a jab at Aditya Narayan in light of the recent phone-throwing controversy. The Bigg Boss 17 winner took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) account on Wednesday, putting a spin on the song “Papa Kehte Hain,” originally sung by Aditya’s father, Udit Narayan.

In his tweet, the stand-up comedian wrote, “Papa kehte hain, badnaam karega! Beta humare aise kaand karega,” accompanied by the hashtag ‘Aditya Narayan’.

Earlier this week, a disturbing video of Aditya Narayan surfaced from one of his recent concerts, spreading rapidly on social media. In the footage, Aditya was seen performing “Aaj Ki Raat” from Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Don” when he became visibly agitated with a fan. He appeared to strike the fan with his microphone before seizing the fan’s phone and hurling it into the crowd, continuing his performance amidst the commotion. Aditya faced criticism for his behavior, being labeled as ‘arrogant’ in the aftermath of the incident.

However, the event organizer later addressed the controversy, asserting that the fan in question was purportedly not a student. According to the organizer, the individual was incessantly bothering Aditya during the performance, ultimately leading to the singer’s outburst.

“That boy was not even a college student, he must be someone from outside the college. He was constantly dragging Aditya’s feet nonstop. He was very irritating. He banged his phone on Aditya’s feet multiple times. After that only did he lose his cool. He must have taken almost 200 selfies with this student. The whole concert went smooth apart from this. After this incident, the show went on for almost two hours. If the student was right, he would have had come forward,” the event manager told Zoom. He then added that even Darshan Rawal has refused to perform at colleges due to these incidents.
