The Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara-led film “Jawan” continues to break records, earning acclaim globally while setting new benchmarks in the process.
The action-packed entertainer not only garnered positive reviews worldwide but also made waves at the box office, both domestically and internationally. Adding to its accolades, “Jawan” stands out as the sole Indian film nominated at The ASTRA Awards, presented by the Hollywood Creative Alliance 2024.
Among an esteemed lineup of nominees, including films from France, South Korea, Finland, Japan, Mexico, Spain, and the United Kingdom, Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan” secures its place.
Furthermore, “Jawan” and “Pathaan” have also earned nominations in Vulture’s 2023 Annual Stunt Awards, competing alongside notable titles such as “John Wick 4” and “Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1.”
Directed by Atlee Kumar, “Jawan” marks Shah Rukh Khan’s second release of the year after “Pathaan.” Alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, the ensemble cast features Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Eijaz Khan, Leher Khan, Aaliya Qureshi, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and Girija Oak in supporting roles, with Deepika Padukone making a special appearance. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the film reportedly boasts a hefty budget of Rs 300 crore.
For those unfamiliar, “Jawan” serves as Shah Rukh Khan’s second cinematic offering of 2023 following the mega-blockbuster “Pathaan,” which ranks among the top three highest-grossing Hindi films. With a worldwide box office collection exceeding Rs 1,000 crore, “Jawan” marks the actor’s second release of 2023 to achieve this milestone. Originally slated for a June release, the film’s debut was postponed by two months due to pending post-production work, particularly involving visual effects.
