Interestingly, Arjun Kapoor wasn’t the initial choice for the role of Krish Malhotra in the movie.

Before Arjun, the role was offered to another star, who turned it down. Eventually, Karan Johar decided to cast Arjun Kapoor opposite Alia Bhatt.

Surprisingly, the first actor approached for the role was Saif Ali Khan, as revealed by the film’s producer, Sajid Nadiadwala.

Saif Ali Khan declined the offer for reasons undisclosed, leading to subsequent approaches to Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.

Ultimately, Karan Johar suggested Arjun Kapoor for the part, a decision that initially surprised Sajid Nadiadwala but later proved to be the right choice.

Nadiadwala expressed pride in Arjun’s performance and growth in the industry, citing his familiarity with Arjun’s family, particularly his parents, Boney Kapoor and Mona Kapoor.

2 States, directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala, is a romantic drama adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel, also featuring Amrita Singh, Ronit Roy, Revathi, and Shiv Kumar Subramaniam.

Arjun Kapoor’s upcoming project is Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, where he plays the antagonist, while Saif Ali Khan will appear in the Telugu film Devara alongside Jr NTR, marking his debut in the language with a negative role in Koratala Siva’s directorial.
