Rakul Preet Singh has been enjoying a successful phase in her acting career, garnering critical acclaim for her role in “Chhatriwali” and achieving commercial success with “Ayalaan.”
In addition to her professional achievements, Rakul recently celebrated a significant personal event by marrying her filmmaker boyfriend, Jackky Bhagnani. During the DNA Women Achievers Awards 2024, where she was a special guest, Rakul shared insights into her relationship with Jackky, including the amusing moment when she introduced him to her parents.
The couple, who made their relationship public in 2021 through an Instagram post, dated for more than two years before marrying on February 21 in Goa. Rakul praises Jackky for his kindness and constant smile, highlighting these as his endearing qualities.
However, Rakul pointed out that Jackky initially had a habit of underestimating time, which she found annoying due to her own punctuality, inherited from her father. She mentioned that Jackky’s perception of time has since improved, moving from an hour’s delay to a more acceptable twenty minutes.
Rakul, who comes from a military family, shared her concerns about Jackky meeting her father, a retired Indian Army officer. She prepped her father to ease the tension, emphasizing Jackky’s non-military background. The meeting, which took place during her mother’s birthday in Delhi, included a direct question from her father about Jackky’s intentions, which momentarily caught Rakul off-guard.
Jackky’s straightforward and supportive response to her father’s question significantly impressed both Rakul and her father, strengthening their relationship.
After a noteworthy 2023 with “Chhatriwali,” Rakul is looking forward to an even more promising 2024, starting with “Ayalaan.” She is also set to appear in two highly anticipated films, “Indian 2” and “Ramayan,” indicating a bright future ahead in her film career.
