Actress Bhumi Pednekar, who marked her Bollywood debut with ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha,’ now celebrates nine years in the industry. On Tuesday, the film completed nine years since its theatrical release.
Reminiscing about her journey with the film, Bhumi shared a post on Instagram featuring the movie’s popular and melodious track ‘Moh Moh Ke Dhaage.’ She expressed gratitude for the love and support received over the years.
Directed by Sharat Katariya, ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ narrates the story of Prem, portrayed by Ayushmann Khurrana, a school dropout who reluctantly marries the educated but overweight Sandhya, played by Bhumi. Their relationship evolves as they participate in a race where Prem carries Sandhya on his back.
The critically acclaimed movie ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ was honored with the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. It also starred Sanjay Mishra and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles.
