Amitabh Bachchan and his wife, Jaya Bachchan, were observed exercising their voting rights during the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024 on Monday, May 20. Subsequently, the veteran actor shared an image on his official Instagram account depicting him and Jaya at a polling booth in Mumbai.
On Tuesday, May 21, Amitabh Bachchan posted a photograph of himself and Jaya casting their votes at a local polling station. The actor couple opted for traditional attire. Alongside the image, Big B wrote, “Completed the act of ‘mat’ (also known as ‘vote’ in English)!! One of our Ef (Extended Family) says, ‘mat’ doesn’t only mean ‘vote’; it also means ‘mother’ (sic).”
Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was spotted with the couple, participating in the fifth phase of the ongoing 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. She was attired in a white oversized shirt and blue jeans, complemented by red slides and a pair of sunglasses. Notably, Aishwarya was also seen wearing a cast on her arm.
