As she does every year, Shilpa Shetty is preparing to celebrate Karwa Chauth with devotion, praying for her husband Raj Kundra’s health.
Her beautifully arranged platter features a silver plate with small bowls, a decorated sieve, mehendi cones, green bangles, as well as matthi, sweets, and lachcha seviyan.
Sargi is a traditional thali given by mothers-in-law to their daughters-in-law, containing makeup, jewelry, clothing, and foods to be consumed before sunrise, as they fast throughout the day until moonrise.
Shilpa also showcased her simple yet adorable mehndi design.
Karwa Chauth is a significant festival primarily celebrated by Hindu married women in India. It honors marriage, with wives fasting all day for their husbands’ long and healthy lives.
Married women observe a ‘nirjala’ fast, refraining from food and water, with the moon playing a crucial role in the fasting ritual. They break their fast upon sighting the moon.
On the acting front, Shilpa was last seen in the web series *Indian Police Force*, directed by Rohit Shetty, alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi. The show premiered earlier this year on Amazon Prime Video.
Next, Shilpa will appear in the Kannada film *KD: The Devil*, featuring Dhruva Sarja, V Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Sanjay Dutt, Jisshu Sengupta, and Nora Fatehi.
Directed by Prem, *KD: The Devil* is a multilingual period action film set to be released in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi, based on true events from 1970s Bangalore.
