Amid speculation about issues in their marriage, Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, actor-choreographer Dhanashree Verma, have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Additionally, Yuzvendra Chahal has removed all photos with Dhanashree from his Instagram account. While Dhanashree unfollowed her husband, she has not deleted any of their shared pictures.
According to a report by the Times of India, sources have confirmed that the divorce rumors are indeed accurate. “The divorce is inevitable, and it’s just a matter of time before it becomes official. The exact reasons behind their separation remain unclear, but it is evident that the couple has chosen to part ways and move on separately,” the sources were quoted as saying.
The rumors about their potential divorce began circulating in 2023 when Dhanashree removed ‘Chahal’ from her Instagram name. This change came shortly after Yuzvendra posted a cryptic Instagram story that read, “New life loading.”
Yuzvendra later addressed the rumors by posting a note on social media, urging his followers not to believe or spread false information about their marriage.
Dhanashree and Yuzvendra tied the knot on December 11, 2020. In an interview on *Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 11*, Dhanashree revealed the story of their relationship, explaining that during the lockdown, when no cricket matches were happening, Yuzvendra became interested in learning dance after watching her videos on social media. She agreed to teach him, and that’s how their relationship began.
As the news of their possible divorce spread, people shared mixed reactions on social media.
One individual wrote, “My respect for Yuzvendra Chahal has grown immensely,” adding, “It’s tough for men who go through so much in silence.”
Another person commented, “How much alimony is Dhanashree asking for?”
A third person remarked, “Relationships nowadays are ending faster than the Good Knight Fast Card.”
A fourth person wrote, “Yuzi bhai is being treated unfairly.”
Additionally, people shared humorous memes related to the situation.
