Their enchanting wedding was captured by Vishal Punjabi, known as The Wedding Filmer. In an interview with Brut, Vishal revealed that Deepika had initially whispered her wish for him to film her wedding while they were on the set of “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” during a break playing Pictionary. Years later, she fulfilled that wish, texting him personally when the moment arrived.
Reflecting on his experiences, Vishal expressed that Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding at Lake Como was exceptionally enjoyable. He cherished the ambiance of Lake Como, describing it as one of his favorite filming locations, where he felt warmly embraced by the festivities.
Vishal Punjabi gained prominence after filming Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s 2017 wedding, a milestone event that he believes transformed Indian wedding trends. He noted how their wedding, which was among the first to be widely shared on social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube, influenced subsequent weddings.
