Sangeeta Bijlani made a stunning comeback on the runway at Lakme Fashion Week 2024, capturing the attention of fashion critics as she served as a muse for Assamese designer Sanjukta Dutta in her latest collection, “Hepaah… The Desire.”

Draped in an exquisite red saree, Sangeeta appeared radiant, effortlessly merging traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary style. Her runway presence not only highlighted the outfit’s beauty but also emphasized the enduring appeal of heritage fashion.

Sangeeta Bijlani commanded attention in a striking red mekhela chador, an Assamese saree that showcased Assam’s rich textile heritage. The collection featured classic Muga Silk and Paat fabrics, blending tradition with modern aesthetics. The saree’s self-detailing and open-pallu style showcased its intricate design, paired beautifully with a chic sweetheart neckline blouse.

To enhance her look, Sangeeta selected perfect accessories, opting for polka jewelry adorned with green beads that beautifully contrasted the bold red of her saree. The ensemble included a stunning polka necklace, matching earrings, and a delicate maang tikka, along with a charming bracelet and several statement rings.

Sangeeta Bijlani’s makeup was equally impressive, featuring light silver eyeshadow and kohl-rimmed eyes, complemented by well-defined brows. A rosy blush and subtle contouring highlighted her flawless features, while her bold red lip perfectly matched her saree.

Her luxurious hair was styled in soft curls that cascaded elegantly over her neck and shoulders as she gracefully walked down the runway.

Sangeeta Bijlani’s affinity for sarees is well-known. In one of her Instagram posts, she looked ethereal in a beautiful yellow ruffle saree paired with a plunging silver blouse.

Her striking smokey eye makeup, combined with subtle contouring and dark lips, created a captivating look. She completed the ensemble with statement earrings and a bracelet, while her hair flowed in soft curls with a middle parting.
