Superstar Salman Khan has been receiving threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, prompting him to increase his security following the murder of NCP MLA Baba Siddique in Mumbai, who was a close friend.
To bolster his safety, Salman has reportedly imported a second bulletproof vehicle from Dubai.
As he resumes filming the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes for Bigg Boss 18, Salman has implemented various security measures. According to Bollywood Society, he has acquired a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV worth Rs 2 crore, which was imported from Dubai to Mumbai.
His latest vehicle, the Nissan Patrol SUV, is known for its exceptional safety features. This luxury SUV offers high-end amenities and protective characteristics that contribute to its substantial price.
The SUV includes advanced safety features such as bomb alert indicators, reinforced glass capable of withstanding close-range gunfire, and tinted windows to conceal the identities of the driver and passengers.
This Nissan Patrol SUV is not yet available in the Indian market and marks Salman’s second bulletproof vehicle imported from Dubai.
Salman has been targeted by Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang since he killed a blackbuck, an animal revered by the Bishnoi community. The gang has threatened him, demanding an apology or he would face severe consequences, particularly since Bishnoi is currently in jail.
Recently, the Mumbai Traffic Police received a message from the gang demanding Rs 5 crore from Salman to be “forgiven” by Bishnoi. The message warned that failure to pay would lead to a fate “worse than Baba Siddique,” who was murdered in Mumbai on October 12, 2024.
Meanwhile, a report from India Today indicates that Khan’s security has been strengthened with an additional eight to ten armed police officers. The Mumbai Police have also established a specialized command center at his residence, Galaxy Apartments.
On the professional front, Khan’s upcoming project is Sikandar, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and AR Murugadoss. The film will feature Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, and Kajal Aggarwal in key roles and is scheduled for release in theaters on Eid 2025.
