Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is preparing to make his Telugu debut in the upcoming film *Devara: Part 1*. He once faced a tough decision between his first film and his then-girlfriend.
An old 1990s video of Saif has surfaced on social media, featuring him discussing his “moral choice” regarding his debut film during an interview with two hosts.
In the same interview, Saif showcased his playful side, engaging in lighthearted banter with the interviewers.
He began by addressing the subjective nature of struggle, explaining how it varies for each individual. He described his own experience, noting, “Struggle means you sit in a rickshaw and visit studio offices looking for work. I faced a different struggle—I was removed from my first film. The director asked me to choose between the film and my girlfriend, which was a moral choice.”
While Saif, now married to Kareena Kapoor Khan, did not disclose the name of his ex-girlfriend, he amusingly asked the interviewers how to express “moral choice” in Hindi.
When one interviewer responded with “Dharamsankat,” Saif humorously echoed it, exclaiming, “Yeah dharamsankat!”
He continued the playful interaction, teasing the interviewers when one was interrupted by the show’s producer, calling them “robots who pick stuff from the air.”
One of the interviewers was Ikhlaque Khan, who later appeared in films like *Gully Boy* and *Dil Dhadakne Do* as the father of prominent characters.
Saif is well-known for his dark and dry humor, which was evident throughout the interview.
