Despite the negative feedback, the movie has managed to impress audiences and has grossed over Rs. 85 crore net domestically and internationally. The film’s financial success remains strong even with competition from other releases.
The digital premiere of “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” on Prime Video has been announced. The movie, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, is set to debut on April 5, following the customary eight-week window for Hindi films on OTT platforms. Although an official announcement from the streaming platform is pending, reports suggest the film will be available for streaming on the mentioned date.
The plot of “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” revolves around the romantic relationship between Aryan, a robotics engineer portrayed by Shahid Kapoor, and SIFRA, a humanoid automaton played by Kriti Sanon. The story unfolds as Aryan struggles to navigate his arranged matrimonial union in India while being unable to detach himself from SIFRA, leading to a series of comedic mishaps during their wedding celebrations.
As of March 2024, the film has garnered a total global gross of Rs. 129.8 crore, with Rs. 92.45 crore from India and Rs. 37.35 crore from overseas markets. Shahid Kapoor, who plays the lead role, expressed his excitement for the film’s release, highlighting the challenges of perfecting the romantic genre and his eagerness to delve into something fun after considering numerous scripts each month.
