Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of the acclaimed film Animal honored at this year’s Filmfare Awards, shared insights into actor Ranveer Singh’s response to the movie.
During an interaction with Dainik Bhaskar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed the profound appreciation he received from Ranveer Singh. Expressing his disbelief at the overwhelming response, Vanga mentioned a 40-minute phone call and a lengthy message from Ranveer, expressing joy at the insights shared about Animal and its elements.
In a prior interview with iDream Media, Sandeep Reddy Vanga disclosed that initially, Ranveer Singh, not Shahid Kapoor, was his first choice for the lead role in Kabir Singh. Vanga explained that Ranveer rejected the offer due to the film’s dark nature, leading to Shahid Kapoor ultimately taking on the role.
Released on December 1 last year, Animal starred Ranbir Kapoor as Ranvijay Singh Balbir, with Anil Kapoor as Balbir Singh, Bobby Deol as Abrar Haque, Rashmika Mandanna as Geetanjali, and Triptii Dimi as Zoya Riaz. Currently, the film is available for streaming on the Netflix OTT platform.
