Neetu Kapoor Pays Tribute to Rishi Kapoor as ‘Karz’ Team Reunites at The Red Lorry Film Festival.
The late Rishi Kapoor’s cult classic *Karz* was screened at *The Red Lorry Film Festival*, with his wife, Neetu Kapoor, gracing the occasion.
The event marked a special reunion of the *Karz* team, with director Subhash Ghai, Simi Garewal, and Tina Munim (now Tina Ambani) also in attendance.
During the tribute to her late husband, Neetu shared a personal memory, revealing that she was dating Rishi during the film’s shoot and that they had tied the knot by the time it was released in June. Reacting to this, Ghai humorously remarked, “If you’re dating during my film, you’ll end up getting married.”
Ghai later posted a picture with Neetu on Instagram, expressing his gratitude. He wrote, *”Thank you, Neetu, for gracing the event with so much joy and paying tribute to Rishi Kapoor. You shared how you were dating Rishi during the shoot and got married after its release, while *Karz* became a cult film that continues to be celebrated.”*
He further mentioned how the gathering, which included Tina Munim Ambani and Simi Garewal, reminisced about Rishi Kapoor’s outstanding performance in *Karz*. Celebrating the film’s 45-year milestone, Ghai added, *“We all cherished your presence and fondly remembered Rishi Kapoor at The Red Lorry Film Festival. Stay blessed always… love, SG.”*
Earlier, Ghai had shared glimpses of the festival on Instagram, calling it an emotional moment as the *Karz* stars reunited to honor Rishi Kapoor. He noted that Neetu, Simi, and Tina spoke highly of Rishi as both an actor and a person.
The Red Lorry Film Festival also recognized Ghai’s exceptional contribution to Indian cinema through a special segment titled *Legacy Rewind*.
