In the third season of the popular Netflix series *Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Lives*, Neelam Kothari discussed her first marriage publicly for the first time.

Neelam, who is happily married to Sameer Soni, became emotional while sharing her experience of her first marriage to Rishi Sethia. She broke down while speaking with producer Ektaa Kapoor about the end of that relationship.

Neelam recounted how her daughter Ahana discovered her divorce online, which deeply affected her. Ahana confronted her, saying, “Mumma, you never told me you were divorced,” leaving Neelam speechless.

Reflecting on her first marriage, Neelam mentioned that she left when she felt her individuality was being stripped away. She shared how she was asked to change her clothing, diet, and even her name, but changing her identity was a line she couldn’t cross.

Neelam and Rishi Sethia were married in a lavish ceremony in Bangkok in October 2000.

Rishi Sethia comes from a wealthy family in the UK, known for their substantial fortune. His family, which moved to London in 1969, has established successful business ventures, including a luxury tea brand.

Rishi’s father founded the N Sethia Foundation, which supports various charitable initiatives, including medical research, education for underprivileged children, cultural preservation, and disaster relief.

After his marriage to Neelam ended, Rishi married Queenie Singh, a former Miss India and entrepreneur, in a private ceremony on a yacht in St. Tropez in 2015. Both were married before, with Queenie previously wed to Raja Dhody.

Queenie is a jewelry designer who has catered to high-profile clients, including celebrities and political figures. Before Queenie, Rishi was reportedly engaged to someone else, which ended before he met her.

Reports suggest that Rishi’s father disapproved of his marriage to Queenie and subsequently excluded him from his significant inheritance.
