With the show now streaming on Netflix, it has already sparked considerable interest. As in previous seasons, the wives reveal intimate secrets about the luxurious lives of Bollywood. One episode features Neelam Kothari openly discussing her divorce, sharing unexpected insights.

Neelam Kothari Reflects on Her Divorce with Daughter

In a candid moment during an episode, Neelam, who is married to actor Samir Soni, spoke for the first time about her divorce from Rishi Sethia. During a conversation with Ektaa Kapoor, she recounted a painful moment when her daughter, Ahana, learned about the divorce online.

Neelam recalled returning home to find Ahana unusually quiet. Normally, the house buzzed with her daughter’s energy, but this time it was eerily silent. Ahana approached her, asking, “Mama, you never told me you were divorced.” Neelam was taken aback and struggled to respond, asking, “How do you know?” Ahana explained that she and her friends had Googled Neelam, and the first result revealed her divorce, leading to Neelam wishing her daughter had learned in a different way.

Neelam Opens Up About Identity Struggles

During her talk with Ekta Kapoor, Neelam became emotional as she discussed the difficulties she faced post-marriage. She mentioned the significant changes that came with relocating to a new country. “I was told to wear Indian clothes, give up meat, and avoid alcohol. I accepted all of that. Changing my name felt normal, but losing my identity was not,” she reflected. She recalled moments in public where people would recognize her as an actress, which made her question her own identity.
