In December 2024, South actress Keerthy Suresh entered a new chapter in her life by marrying her long-time partner, Antony Thattil. While the actress had kept her relationship private until announcing her engagement, her connection with Antony spans 15 years. Their wedding, much like their love story, was kept low-key. However, Keerthy recently shared the timeline of their relationship in an exclusive interview.

Keerthy Suresh opened up about how she and Antony Thattil first connected. In a candid conversation with Galatta India, Keerthy revealed that she made the first move in their relationship. Interestingly, they initially met on the now-defunct social media platform Orkut. Keerthy recalled, “We go back to Orkut days. I took the initiative to hit on this guy. We chatted for a month before meeting at a restaurant. I was with my family, so I couldn’t talk to him, so I winked and left. Later, I challenged him to propose to me if he had the guts.” She also shared that Antony proposed in 2010, and their relationship became serious in 2016 when he gave her a promise ring, which she wore in all her films.

Keerthy also revealed that this New Year marked the 15th anniversary of Antony’s first proposal. Their relationship, which withstood the test of time, led to a new beginning as a married couple in December 2024.

Reflecting on their wedding, Keerthy called it a dream come true. She shared that she and Antony had often joked about eloping, but the actual wedding day left her emotional. “It’s a dream because we’ve had nightmares of eloping. My heart was full, and it was an emotional moment for us,” she said. Their journey began when Keerthy was in 12th grade, and Antony was seven years older, working in Qatar. For six years, their relationship was long-distance until they started living together during the pandemic. Keerthy praised Antony for being incredibly supportive of her career, and emphasized that she felt lucky to have him in her life.

Keerthy and Antony’s wedding in December 2024 was a two-day celebration, fulfilling a 15-year-long dream. The couple exchanged vows in both Hindu and Christian ceremonies. For the white wedding, Keerthy wore a beautiful lace gown with a cinched waist and a keyhole cut-out, featuring a turtle-neck lace design on the neckline. She also shared stunning images from their Hindu ceremony, where she wore a yellow-toned saree with green borders and a magenta-toned paar. The photos captured the couple’s joy, love, and happiness.
