Actor Kangana Ranaut appeared to criticize celebrities, particularly those from the entertainment industry, who participated in and performed at the three-day pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Ambani.
In her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, she drew a comparison between herself and the late singer Lata Mangeshkar. Sharing a screenshot of an article about Mangeshkar refusing to sing at weddings even for a large sum, Kangana highlighted her own stance on not dancing at weddings despite lucrative offers and her notable hit songs.
Referring to herself and Mangeshkar as two individuals with massive hit songs to their credit, Kangana emphasized the importance of integrity over fame and money in a world where shortcuts are prevalent.
The Ambanis’ celebration in Jamnagar, Gujarat, attracted celebrities from India and abroad, including Bollywood stars, sports personalities, and other notable guests, who enjoyed a lavish event.
Among the attendees were a plethora of Bollywood celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh, among others. International artists such as Rihanna, Akon, and Shreya Ghoshal also performed for the couple and their guests, while Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh, Salman, Deepika, and Ranveer took to the stage for dance performances.
In terms of her film projects, Kangana is set to star alongside R Madhavan in a psychological thriller directed by Vijay and will also feature in the period drama “Emergency,” which marks her directorial debut.
