When Enrique Iglesias performed at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai last year, it sparked excitement among his Indian fans, who were eagerly anticipating a tour in India.
Now, it’s confirmed that the globally acclaimed singer will be performing in India later this year. According to a source, “Enrique is scheduled to perform in Mumbai this October. A Gujarat-based event company is organizing the concert. This will be his first visit to India in 13 years.” His last tour in the country was in 2012, where he performed in Pune, Gurugram, and Bengaluru.
Enrique has previously described India as “one of his favourite” destinations in interviews.
In 2019, he expressed his eagerness to return to India and posted a throwback video on Instagram from his earlier trip. In the clip—originally aired by a Mexican TV channel—a fan is seen trailing his car on a bike just to see him. During the interview, the reporter lowered the car window and let the fan speak. “Are you Enrique?” the fan asked. After getting confirmation, he excitedly praised the singer, saying, “It was a pleasure seeing you here, man. You’re a rockstar. We all love you a lot.” Iglesias captioned the video: “One of my favourite places in the world! I love you #India… can’t wait to be back!! #Throwback.”
The 50-year-old artist previously toured India in 2004 and 2012.
