After a prolonged period of negative attention, the beloved TV sitcom “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” has finally grabbed headlines for positive reasons. The show had been marred by controversies due to the departures of actors like Disha Vakani, Shailesh Lodha, Neha Mehta, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, and Monika Bhadoriya, and even faced allegations of se**ual harassment from Jennifer.
Recently, it was reported that Jethalal, played by Dilip Joshi, was planning to take a break from the show for a family trip. While fans continue to enjoy the series, it has achieved a remarkable global record. In the latest edition of the Guinness Book of World Records, out of 2638 records worldwide, 60 belong to India. Astonishingly, among these Indian records, one belongs to the television industry, and it’s attributed to the popular sitcom “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.” Apparently, the show produced by Asit Kumarr Modi has earned the distinction of being the longest-running television show.
