Actor Imran Khan and his partner Lekha Washington have secured a residence in Mumbai, paying a monthly rent of Rs 9 lakh. This apartment, situated in Bandra, was leased from renowned Bollywood director Karan Johar.
Imran Khan recently acknowledged his romantic involvement with Lekha Washington following his divorce from Avantika Malik in 2019. Prior to this arrangement, Khan had been residing in his bungalow in Pali Hill, Bandra.
Their new abode in Bandra is a waterfront property, adjacent to a building where Khan’s uncle, Bollywood icon Aamir Khan, had previously leased a unit. The couple will now inhabit a three-story apartment at Clefepete on the upscale Carter Road.
Official documents obtained from real estate database platform Zapkey reveal that the rental agreement was formalized on March 20, 2024, with a duration of three years.
Bandra remains a favored residential area for numerous celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, John Abraham, and former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
Lekha Washington, formerly married to journalist Pablo Chaterji, who is the son of well-known theater personality Dhritiman Chaterji, is now embarked on this new chapter with Imran Khan.
