Fardeen Khan is regarded as one of Bollywood’s notable actors. After a 14-year break, he made a much-anticipated return to acting, delighting fans with his onscreen presence.
He has garnered praise for his role in Mudassar Aziz’s comedy-drama, Khel Khel Mein, where he reunited with his Heyy Babyy co-star Akshay Kumar. In a recent interview, Fardeen discussed various topics, including his choice to take a break to focus on fatherhood. He welcomed his daughter, Diani Isabella Khan, through in vitro fertilization (IVF) a few years ago.
In a recent conversation with Times of India, Fardeen Khan shared insights about his personal life and the difficulties he faced while trying to conceive their daughter. After the death of his father, the legendary actor Feroz Khan, in 2009, Fardeen and his wife encountered challenges in starting a family. He explained that it was his wife, Natasha Madhvani, who suggested pursuing IVF treatment, saying, “We were having challenges in having children, and that’s when we decided to take the IVF route.”
Reflecting on his extended absence from acting, Fardeen revealed that the process of starting a family took longer than anticipated, prompting him to take a break. He noted, “That’s why I needed to take some time off. It wasn’t meant to be this long. I thought I would take just a few years to get everything settled, but things didn’t turn out that way.” He expressed immense joy at the arrival of his daughter, saying, “When my daughter was born, my heart melted, and I thought, let’s spend some time with her.” Fardeen admitted he enjoyed fatherhood so much that he had little desire to return to acting.
After welcoming his daughter in 2013, Fardeen Khan also became a father to a son, Azarius, in 2017. Although he currently does not live with his wife and children, he shared that he visits them every four to six weeks, describing those moments as the best times of his life.
On the professional front, Fardeen Khan will next appear in Tarun Mansukhani’s Housefull 5. This upcoming installment of the comedy franchise features a star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nikitin Dheer, Dino Morea, Johnny Lever, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangda Singh, and Soundarya Sharma, among others. Housefull 5 is scheduled to hit theaters on June 6, 2025.
